TL;DR

Tool inputs and site analytics are treated separately. Most tools process your text or files locally. Limited first-party analytics measure aggregate site usage, but tool inputs are not included in those analytics.

Tool input and file processing

When a tool can complete its work with browser APIs, its text and files stay on your device. A tool that needs a network request—such as a URL lookup, cloud-synced feature, or account-backed service—must disclose that behavior in its interface. Only the information needed for that requested feature is sent.

First-party analytics

We record aggregate page views, entrance estimates, unique-visitor and returning-visitor estimates, session duration, normalized external and internal referrer hostnames, campaign tags, and approximate country, region, and city supplied by our network provider. We also record content-free interaction types—such as starting a tool, copying or downloading a result, following a tool recommendation, an allowlisted error category, and browser performance measurements—plus coarse device class, page path, locale, and deployment version. Known crawlers and common automated testing agents are filtered where they can be identified.

For storageless measurement, an IP address and user-agent string are used only in memory to create a salted identifier that rotates daily and differs between sites. The raw values are not stored or logged by our analytics database.

Browser storage and consent

Where permitted, first-party browser storage may hold a random visitor identifier and session flags so repeat page loads are not counted as new visitors and later visits to the same site can contribute to an aggregate returning-visitor estimate. In regions where consent is required for device storage, analytics run in storageless mode instead and are not linked across days. Your tool inputs are not placed in analytics storage.

Analytics never include text or URLs entered into a tool, uploaded file names or contents, generated results, clipboard contents, free-form feedback, raw error messages, precise coordinates, or advertising click identifiers.

Infrastructure and advertising

We use infrastructure providers to deliver and protect the site. Some pages may display Google AdSense advertising, subject to regional consent requirements and Google's policies. You can manage personalized advertising at Google's Ads Settings.
